Hospitality is an important monastic value, and we are happy to welcome guests into our monastic solitude for periods of retreat and personal reflection. We suggest that guests worship with the community twice a day for matins and vespers, as well as Divine Liturgy on Sundays and feast days. They share meals with the community and have access to the beautiful grounds that comprise our property. Well-marked hiking trails exist that retreatants are welcome to use. It is also possible to speak with one of the monks privately for spiritual direction, should that be desired. You may contact us using the retreat contact form
(be sure to select "Visiting the Monks") or if you prefer to write a note, please address it to: Guest Master. Please let us know how you heard about New Skete, and a bit about why you might be drawn to visit. We have a simple guesthouse with three rooms, each with two single beds.
There is a single communal bathroom and separate shower. The sitting room
is communal with a small retreat library for guests to use and there is a
refreshment center with microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator
