Monks of New Skete - Secure Online Registration and Credit Card Processing

At the heart of photography, even life, is the ability to really see, to be present to the beauty that is right in front of us each day.

The Monks of New Skete along with Gail Haile from Haile Fine Photography will host this 3-day workshop for beginner to intermediate photographers.

Gail Haile - A guiding thought for my work and life comes from Marcel Proust, "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."  As a photographer, technical skills are vital but secondary to capacity to see.

In this retreat, through a variety of activities and tools of photography, we will hone our capacity to see the world around us.  Time will also include sharing photographic skills and techniques in both capturing and processing.  There will be both private and group time to practice, learn, and share.

Limited to 10 photographers.

Requirements: This retreat is for beginner to intermediate photographers.  All you need is a camera and the desire to learn not only how to "see" better but to understand the technical aspects of photography, in order to have more control over your creativity.  Laptop with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements is very optional.  There may be some demonstration of basic Photoshop.

Equipment Needed: A camera along with its manual.
